Activities Database
Welcome to the Playing to Live! Activity Database and thank you for your interest in leaving your handprint on the organization. Playing to Live! is an international organization with the mission to provide therapeutic tools to communities affected by trauma and/or crisis that do not have access to licensed expressive therapist(s). To do so we are building a database of expressive and therapeutic activities for the children of these communities. This is where we need you, your expertise and your help.
We are training community leaders to use Playing to Live! activities to help children build healthy relationships, establish coping skills and identify personal strengths, express emotions, and establish a safe place. It is important to take into account that even though the implementers complete a training through Playing to Live!, they are not clinicians, therefore the activities should reflect psycho-social support and strength building, as opposed to trauma therapy.
In addition, with the help of a community liaison, the activities you submit will be adapted for each community’s culture to help ensure understanding, sensitivity, and relevance. Within the clinical team of Playing to Live!, there is an expressive therapist in your field to act as your representative and review your activity submission. We ask that you defer questions about the activity data base or trainings to them.
The activity template and consent form can be downloaded by clicking the links below. If this is your first time submitting an activity, please complete both the activity template and the consent form.
