Today was a third day of the TLF holiday program, where Playing to Live! is supporting the expressive therapy inspired programming. In much of our work, we see the incredible beauty of combining community empowerment, children, and the creative arts, but if this work was all easy and simple, then Playing to Live! would not be needed. Bringing together clinical expertise from our own countries and the cultural intricacies from South Africa is a beautiful, but challenging process. We come into low resource communities, where through partnerships we have identified a need for community development to support children who have experienced high amounts of trauma. The key is working together to make what believe will be helpful with what our local guides know in their culture to be meaningful. Only when these two elements come together can we make a lasting impact. Our creative superheroes continue to work on their superhero capes, a directive developed by the PTL! clinical team and adapted in collaboration with our local South African partners, TLF. Please continue to support this programming in South Africa! Time is running out to donate! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-south-african-children-playing-to-live#/story #playingtolive #SouthAfrica #creativesuperheros #Indiegogo
